Right now, I'm prepping to RMA the CPU with Intel since my parents tossed out the box too soon and Newegg will not RMA without the box. Mushkin Enhanced Blackline DDR3 1600MHz XMP capable 16GB (4GB modules each) (they are properly mounted all the way in the slots, common issue) Aaargh!! Both the first and second motherboard did beep if I tried to post with no memory at all installed but never post with any memory configuration after they initially off on me.īoard Asus Sabertooth Mark 2 Z97 latest bios (all 9 board posts securely and properly mounted/grounded) Reseated CPU, reseated memory, tried 1 stick. Asus guy had suggested possible bad CPU before I RMA'd the first board but now that I'm having same issue on second replacement board, looks like I have to try another CPU and of course rule out the PSU which is pretty recent to begin with all ready. So after thinking well I got this far maybe it just doesn't like a setting or something in BIOS for CPU or memory, so I tried MemOK button, system just constantly cycle boots endlessly with flashing CPU & DRAM LED's.ĭecided lets start from scratch again and clear BIOS, so unplugged, moved over Jumper Pin, removed CMOS battery, put it all back, power on same dog sh*t. Mind you I let this thing sit in the BIOS screen while eating dinner for a good 20minutes before I ever went back to it initially to even set it up. Pop open side cover and flashing LED's again. after about 30 minutes or so feeling good, temps seemed ok, screen went blank and it pooped out on me.

Went ahead and updated bios, set it all up, booted into previous Windows and started recovering configuration loading drivers etc. Put it all back together, posted flawlessly first time. Received second board, thoroughly set it up on kitchen table meticulously. So I figured try an RMA on board first and go from there. Board would beep if no memory installed but alternate CPU & DRAM LED's when all together regardless of memory brand or configuration or CMOS clear. All same results, no POST, no beeps but alive. Updated BIOS to newest version using Bios Flashback port. tried MemOK button, tried various amounts of memory in different slots, different brands etc. Afterwards would never post again only flashing CPU & DRAM LED's alternating. It posted the first time effortlessly but lasted only a few minutes while browsing the bios.didn't even get to set the date. Recently purchased new components: motherbpard, cpu, blu-ray drive to rebuild my parents PC. I have no idea what to do.Just wanted to bounce some scenarios off you guys and see if I'm missing something. All fans were working normaly, there isn't any smoke, any smell, everything was cool and clean. Thermal paste is not the problem cuz i changed it few times to see if red light would stop, i also tried without thermal paste but i still had red light. I changed thermal paste on my processor and thats all.

I don't know how to fix the problem because i don't know what is causing him.

I tried all 4 RAM Memory slots (2x Black and 2x Blue) and the red light still appears. I tried removing Graphic card and putting it back. I see continious dram red light, holding RAMOK button can't fix the problem. There isn't any beep sound when i turn on my PC. I am hoping that you can help me with this, i searched whole google and i couldn't find any solution. Sorry if i made thread in the wrong section i just created account here.
